Week 5

Monday

Can you sing the jolly phonics songs for the sounds, 'M,Y,T.' (You tube jolly phonics songs.)

Please practise writing your numbers 0 to 10.

(Use the number rhymes provided in the pack to help you write your numbers.)

Can you make a swirly shell for the snail?

Print out the picture or draw it on paper.

(Refer to home learning pack online.)

 

Tuesday

Share a story with an adult.

Who were the characters in the story?

Where was the story set? (Describe the scene.)

Can you draw a picture of part of the story? (Share with an adult, what you have drawn. Tell them what is happening.)

Can you sort out the toys/items into colour groups?

Play 'Simon says,' with your family. "Simon says touch your toes."

(Remember if Simon does not say it you cannot complete the action.)

 

Wednesday

Can you sing the jolly phonics songs for the sounds, 'C,E ,F.' (You tube jolly phonics songs.)

Using two colours, can you make a pattern with pegs/ buttons/ fruits? ( i.e yellow, green, yellow, ?)

Can you make a pattern using three colours?

( i.e blue, red, green, blue, red,?)

Can you join the dots to make a picture?

How many people can you draw in the windows?

Print out the picture of a bus or draw it on paper.

Thursday

Can you match the letters which are the same?

Print out the picture of the letters or draw it on paper.

Shape hunt

Can you find all of these shapes? (Circle, square, rectangle, triangle and a pentagon.)

Ask a grown up if you can use their phone or an IPad to take some photos of 2d shapes around your house. What can you see?

Children to seek the shapes say what they are.

Can you make a musical instrument?

(i.e shaker, guitar, drum.)

Be as creative as you like.

 

Friday

What are your favourite games or sports?

Can you draw them?

(i.e: I like tennis :- draw a picture of yourself with a tennis racket in your hand.)

Can you say why it is your favourite?

Can you recognise and write your numbers from 0 to 9?

Print out the picture of numbers 0 -9 or draw it on paper.

Monday

Can you write your name, making sure all of the letters are the right way round? (Use your letter rhymes resource.)

Have a go at writing your numbers 0 to 10.

Can you make a collage by tearing, cutting, scrunching up paper or recycled cardboard (i.e. cereal boxes, chocolate wrappers.)

How many times can you write your name?

 If you can already write your name then start to learn to read and spell the following words ready for starting in Reception.

Can you thread 10 or more pieces of pasta / buttons onto a string to make a necklace?

Play some of your child's favourite songs and have a dance party in the living room.

i.e Play musical bumps, statues.

 Can you sing your favourite Nursery rhymes/ songs? i.e 'Jack and Jill' 'Humpty Dumpty.' (Ask mummy and daddy to sing with you.)
