History
At SS Peter and Paul’s Catholic Primary School, all staff understand the real-world importance of developing children’s historical knowledge and we endeavour to make the past come alive.
As a school, history is taught as a subject in its own right, to ensure there is a clear progressions of knowledge, skills and understanding across the year groups. However, where appropriate, we also aim to link it to other subjects such as English, music, art and design technology so that procedural knowledge is embedded and learning is more meaningful to our children.
