Geography

At SS Peter and Paul’s Catholic Primary School, all staff understand the real-world importance of developing children’s geographical skills and core knowledge of the world they live in. For us, geography begins in the local environment and then extends out into the wider world. Having broken down the National Curriculum expectations into a progressive set of lessons, all year groups also carry out a ‘local study’ unit in the summer term, where the weather is at its best for outdoor learning.  We teach a curriculum aimed at mastering a wide range of geographical skills and knowledge in-line with the National Curriculum.
